Astatine: a salon-style group show featuring a mixture of new artists and some of our old favorites. We asked our artists to keep gift-friendly pricing in mind so expect to find many of the pieces for $100 or less! In addition, we will be featuring great in-gallery deals on previously shown artwork.
While we initially intended for Astatine to be an end of year group show, it has become more than that. Astatine will be Halogen's last show for the foreseeable future. Help us celebrate the opening of our last show at 2316 by visiting us during the Belltown Art Walk this Friday.
Both Beau and Rebekah have appreciated all of the support we have received this last year. We are looking forward to finding other ways to contribute to the art scene, Seattle and beyond, in the coming years. Thanks for everything!
Astatine, last of the halogens on the periodic table, is a radioactive chemical element with the symbol At and atomic number 85. It is the heaviest of the discovered halogens. Astatine is currently the rarest naturally-occurring element, with less than an ounce contained in the entire Earth's crust.

My main pieces are of the evolutions of creatures I have invented. I really enjoy one thing morphing into another thing whether a living creature or of our minds evolving through life. These paintings can be seen as the joy of the process of creating and maybe a celebration of the subject of evolution. See, kids, evolution can be fun and light hearted.
