Tracy Curley
Tracy Curley's art is a union of many variables--the diverse people, places and ideas that have influenced her life. When painting, she thinks of a word long forgotten; "palimpsest", which means, having the quality of being rubbed away and written on over and over again. Using layer upon layer of information. In early times, this would happen because of the great scarcity of writing materials. Today, this idea engenders a rich layered texture in Curley's art. Curley has shown in New Mexico, Nevada, Chicago, Illinois and Seattle with much acclaim.
Terri Lee Duffy
Terri Lee Duffy's art is a return to timeless and potent symbols that have drawn humans in throughout history while contemplating the existential questions -- hands, moons, hearts, fire, etc. She sees themes weaving in and out that have been true of humans in every age and time, themes that resonate with her and surface in her art. A trained writer, she marries two art forms by using words in her art. Her work in papier maché also honors the literary craft.
