Brent Blake
Brent Blake studied art at Central Washington University, and art and architecture at the University of Washington. He interned with Jack Woodman & Associates and NBBJ in architecture and Robert Carpenter, prominent Seattle gallery owner and contemporary art collector.
His early paintings were meticulous, hard-edged, architectural abstractions that became his trademark. His current works are layered explorations of color and texture that engage and provoke the viewer. The vivid, often stark relationship between color and form is invigorating, being simultaneously calculated and rebellious.
Ethan Jack Harrington
Ethan Jack Harrington is a prominent local artist with a unique style of surreal impressionism that has given new shape and perspective to familiar landscapes and venues in Seattle and other cities. A prolific painter, he captures the spirit of a location by removing the rigidity of brick, glass and steel, allowing buildings to breathe and interact organically. His "Girls with Guns" series also offer a provacative, often sexy look into the dark, internal conflict of young women.
