Bio
Born in Seattle and raised in the airport-dominated suburb of Seatac, Troy currently lives and works in a sense-inspiring neighborhood of West Seattle. He is an artist fueled by an innate introspection, pop-culture influences and a working-class upbringing. Possessing a thinly-veiled exhibitionistic craving, Troy is intent on self-expression and self-discovery through his work, and by cultivating his own unique sense of style and technique, he is free to produce without creative constraint.Artist Statement
To me, creating art is the chance to express one's singular, personal vision, and I am not interested in creating work that reflects the world. I believe it is the artist's purpose to create what the world cannot. I am impassioned by the bold simplicity of fundamental shapes, crisp lines and solid colors and I am attracted to purity and precision. I strive to create work that reflects that. My work is intended as a visual antidote to modern society’s excessive, over-stimulated and chaotic tendencies, and I'm very excited and anxious to share it.|
