Bio
Stacey Rozich is a Seattle-based artist and Illustrator. While old children's books, graphic novels and comic art are some of the biggest influences in her artistic style; Slavic folk tales seem to be the largest driving force. In a nod to her Yugoslav background, Stacey works traditional costumes and folklore into a storybook world of warrior women and ghoulish monsters. While using a bold and simple palette for her folk pieces, a cartoon-like quality can be seen in the character design and execution. Currently working out of her studio at the 619 Arts Building in Pioneer Square Stacey enjoys doodling, cats and Miyazaki films. |
