Bio
When she first learned to talk, she told her mom that she hated coloring books and that she wanted a blank piece of paper to make her own lines. After graduating from high school Leanne Biank moved down to Philadelphia, PA where she attended and recently graduated from, the University of the Arts, with a BFA in Illustration. Since then she finds herself trying her very best to live out the life of an artist, having her work shown in various galleries around the country, including; The Society of Illustrators (NYC), Jinxed gallery (Philadelphia, PA), The Compound gallery (Portland, OG), The Suite 100 Gallery (San Francisco, CA) Think Space Gallery and Gallery 1988 (Los Angeles, CA)ect. She finds the greatest inspiration in the passionate people that surround her and in lingering childhood memories.
Artist Statement
I find the greatest inspiration in the passionate people that surround me and in lingering childhood memories. The thoughts, ideas and games you experience as a child are the purest form of creativity you will ever encounter in your lifetime. It may be impossible to step into the shoes we wore when we were five and go back to those beautifully naïve times with out the jaded view we now maintain. My work is my personal jaded view of the most creative time of my life.
