Born and raised in the sunny foothills of Northern Colorado, Kelly grew up crafting miniature clay sculptures and mud houses in her backyard. She enjoyed learning how to draw by studying her father's work, comic books and Disney movies. After graduating from college, Kelly left Colorado to move to the Northwest to pursue a career as a fine artist and illustrator.

Seattle provided a perfect balance between city arts and a lush landscape, the greatest inspiration for her work.
