Making art is an obsession for me. I enjoy painting every day and get a deep satisfaction from sharing my work with other people. For me, painting is a vehicle for expressing my most personal thoughts and ideas. I am trying to communicate things that are often unspoken and private but commonly human.
My mode of working is very spontaneous and intuitive. I build up layers of paint, sand them down, and then build them up some more. The narrative quality of each painting becomes apparent through drawing, painting and adding bits of found-image collage. Everyday my invented language of symbols grows, repeats, and changes.
