James Dormer Schneider likes to think of himself as a Lowbrow robotic-hearted illustrator. He currently lives between New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and Tampa. When he was young he could always be found with some form of mark making tool in his hand. In the late 90's he fell in love with women, art, ink, comics, and cartoons. His world has never been the same. James can't specifically pinpoint his artistic influences because, he finds new artists and he works to incorporate what he sees into his style.
James graduated from the University of Tampa in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He has continued his education with classes from University of South Florida and Ringling School of Art and Design. James has recently designed art for bands, tattoo shops, and works for small skateboard companies all over North America. James likes forcing friends to model for new works. He says, "It is just a hazard of being my friend,” he warns them of this when they first meet.
