Crystal Wall Lancaster was born in Etobicoke, Ontario, and has since made her home in several different places in Canada. She currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario with her husband and their wonderful daughter, Avie. After graduating as valedictorian of her Traditional Animation course, she went on to work as an animator/character designer on several award winning animated television series. After the birth of her daughter, Crystal decided to leave the animation industry to focus on her true love, Illustration and painting. Over the last few years, she has created a distinct style of “elongated ladies” that she has become obsessed with painting both traditionally, as well as, digitally. Round faces framing extravagant eyes, pouted lips replacing chins, skewed proportions and bright colours are most always present in her works.
