Just over a week ago we opened our doors to show Seattle the results of a weeks worth of setup, months worth of planning, and, in some cases, years worth of work. Thanks to the help of everyone involved, Suite 100 Gallery showed artifacts by pioneers of American steampunk to Seattle.

The turnout on opening night was amazing. We were packed from the moment we opened the doors until we turned down the lights nearly an hour after we had intended to close. The accordion playing and people dressed to fit the occasion combined well with the art and decorations making the night feel as out of time as the artwork.

We even had custom chocolates on hand for the evening, provided by Michael Anton of Naftali Chocolates. Much thanks to Michael for the chocolatey goodness!

Pictures of the event have been posted to Flickr by a number of people and are all linked from our Anachrotechnofetishism page. If anyone else has pictures of the event and have posted them to a dedicated photoset on Flickr, send us an email linking to your photoset and we'll link to it from our site!

The works will be showing through October 3rd, and are available for viewing and purchase online as well. Many of these pieces are definitely worth seeing in person as pictures simply do not do right by them, so do try to stop in to check them out!
